Credentials:

I never met my grandad on my mothers side but that doctor from Oklahoma was an avid photo enthusiast. I guess that is where the genes come from. I started shooting at the ripe age of 5, like Ansel Adams.

After assisting for 4 years in the midwest - both studio photography and location shooting - I struck out on my own and wound up in San Francisco. There I worked for a book publisher specializing in photo books weighted towards a decidedly photojournalistic bent. In the early 90s, I was immersed myself in the then nascent digital imaging field. With my background in photography and digital imaging, I've taught professionally - and still do - at various regional and national institutions.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q:What is your photographic style?
A: As is evidenced by the picture here, my professional event photography is a creative mix of reportage style - photojournalistic - which allows me to work fast and really cover the story, combined with classical, clean group and individual portraits.

Q:What kind of equipment do you use?
A:We shoot with professional digital cameras.

Q:Do your clients keep the negatives?
A:Since we cover an event using all digital cameras there are no negatives per se. Clients receive all the photos taken during the event, as well as a special 'edit' of the best images. This custom edit is enhanced using industry standard image editing software.

Q.How long does it take to get our pictures?
A. Usually no longer than a week. We post your photos to a web site where you can share them via the internet and order prints immediately.

Q.What is your hourly rate?
A.I don't have an hourly rate. We plan on a wedding taking a whole day. We start photographing the hair and makeup all the way to cutting the cake, or whatever ends the evening.
